FOTD - Bella Notte

Hello ladies... well i figured i'd just get this one out of the way:) Bella Swan's makeup in Twilight. I loved her makeup in the movie so i started researching on the internet who her makeup artist was and what products she used. This was my first bite of the addict apple. I learned it was a Mac makeup artist and she used Mac Blot Powder in Light, Mac e/s Blanc Type, Flute, and Wedge, Benefit Badgal WP Mascara, Benefit l/s Good-to-go. But that was the extent of the information... so the rest im playing by ear from watching the movie. Her skin is very light and matte with some contouring and sutle highlight. I used Nars Sheer Glow foundation, Mac e/s Wedge to contour and Benefit High Beam to highlight my cheek bones. On my cheeks i very lightly put Mac blush Angel. My eyes: Blanc Type all over the lid, Wedge in the crease, Phloof to highlight browbone. Then to line my eyes i used a silvery e/s color Gorgeous l/e. It really helps to brighten and draw your attention to the eyes, but not too sparkley just a little shimmer. I didn't have Bad Gal lash so i used Clinique High Impact mascara. You don't really want a volumizing mascara you want it to look natural. Then on my lips i used Good-to-go. Not too bad i think:)

Angelic (FrOTW)

Its Friday ladies and yes i do have a fav fragrance of the week:) It is Thierry Mugler's Angel. It has no floral notes in it at all, which i really like- too much floral makes me nauseous. Sugar and spice and everything nice. The notes are - chocolate, marshmallow, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood, and patchouli - yumminess! Very different from the normal popular fragrances. You might think ohhh it sounds really sweet, but its not really. The sandalwood and patchouli tone it down and it makes a lovely cozy aroma. The bottles are soo pretty; they come in a variety of sizes and shapes, refillable/nonrefillable. The only downside is that it is on the pricey side. PS: I can totally relate to the Ice Queen pictured above... a nickname that emerged in school. I always thought it was funny. She's looks like she's alone in her icy cavern trying to recall a fading memory. Maybe happier times with a romantic friend, but subconsciously holding her bottle close to her chest.

Fiercely Fiona

Hello All.... I went out and purchased today the OPI Shrek-tacular mini set. This is the first OPI mini set I've ever bought, because its the first time i liked all the colors. I think this collection is soo cute, fun, and colorful- great for summer. Though i have to complain i am becoming less and less of a fan of OPI. I just don't like the quality of the colors anymore... i mean they have some really great ones, but they are few and far between. And the colors in the bottles can be very deceiving to what actually shows up on your nails. Now I have to say that these minis were extremely hard to work with. The application brush is sooo freaking tiny... Essie minis aren't as small. Another reason i like Essie better than OPI.

Fiercely Fiona - now for some reason i have been dying to paint my nails yellow. I have always hated yellow nail polish, but for some reason now i have the urge to wear bright colors. This wasn't exactly the yellow i was going for, but it is kinda interesting. I dunno how to describe this yellow lol...it's not banana, not sunshine, my guess would be lemongrass. It has a very slight green tinge. Who the Shrek Are You? - a fun grassy green. What's with the Cattitude? - a sky blue. And Rumple's Wiggin - a cool lavender. What i would have loved and I'm sure I'm not alone, but my fav character in Shrek is the Gingerbread Man, so it would have been awesome if they made a gingerbread colored nail polish. yes!

London Calling

I've found my new fav fragrance, i dunno how this is going to be ...lol it changes every week!! Ok, this week (FOTW) my love is Burberry London for women, i like the men's too but women's for me. I never liked it before, but now i guess scent like taste change over time. I think this might be the fragrance I've been in search for. Its sexy and sophisticated, it doesn't turn powdery or stale over time as it wears off. I just love it. Components: Clemintine, honeysuckle, English garden rose, Tiare flower, jasmine, peony, veil of musks, Indian sandalwood, and patchouli. Its kind of a soft spicy floral, a lot of different compontents, but it makes a complex multi-layered scent... "Celebrating the city of London and its distinct style, Burberry London was created for an elegant and naturally glamorous woman, and for a man that defines the modern English gentleman."

FOTD + Product Review

My fotd is inspired my pixi2woo's Scarlett Johannsen look for the Moet ad, and also my recent purchases. Ok so foundation i think was Chanel Vita-Lumiere. I like this foundation because i have dry-combo skin and it is moisturizing (pro). It would really be an ideal winter foundation. (con) - Since its warming up i tend to glisten easily and the added sparkle in the foundation makes my faces look like an oily mess:( I do prefer Vita over Pro Lumiere 100%. The coverage for Pro is way too heavy for me while Vita is just right- light to med. Eyeshadow - From the Michael Kors Blonde Mink palette i used the gold color for the inner 2/3 of my eye and for the crease i used Urban Decay Twice Baked. Conclusion: I will never buy Estee Lauder eye shadow again. It was horrible quality, gritty like dirt. I was soo disappointed, the gold color is pretty but im going to have to find a dupe because it was just a pain to work with, and for the brown color i didn't even bother using with this look. I did try it out and it was even grittier than the gold. I think Maybelline eyeshadows are softer yuck. Anyways... on my lips are Lady Gaga lipstick and English Accent lipglass. Love them both:) In my recent trek to find my perfect foundation i journeyed once again to Sephora to once again be matched to a Nars Sheer Glow tint. (I do recommend you get help with these because the color scale is difficult to read) Thank god someone could finally do it right and i was matched with Fiji YAY!!!!!! ( I exclaimed) lol, I've been wearing it the past couple of days and Ive gotten soo many compliments. It really makes my face glow:) But I am going to try MUFE HD foundation again in 120, and see if I'm swayed... I like to be thorough in my decisions. OHH Sephora has a new makeup brush line and i want a bunch!! Some are really nice and unique, worth the high price (which surpass Mac prices).
