Angelic (FrOTW)

Its Friday ladies and yes i do have a fav fragrance of the week:) It is Thierry Mugler's Angel. It has no floral notes in it at all, which i really like- too much floral makes me nauseous. Sugar and spice and everything nice. The notes are - chocolate, marshmallow, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood, and patchouli - yumminess! Very different from the normal popular fragrances. You might think ohhh it sounds really sweet, but its not really. The sandalwood and patchouli tone it down and it makes a lovely cozy aroma. The bottles are soo pretty; they come in a variety of sizes and shapes, refillable/nonrefillable. The only downside is that it is on the pricey side. PS: I can totally relate to the Ice Queen pictured above... a nickname that emerged in school. I always thought it was funny. She's looks like she's alone in her icy cavern trying to recall a fading memory. Maybe happier times with a romantic friend, but subconsciously holding her bottle close to her chest.

Fiercely Fiona

Hello All.... I went out and purchased today the OPI Shrek-tacular mini set. This is the first OPI mini set I've ever bought, because its the first time i liked all the colors. I think this collection is soo cute, fun, and colorful- great for summer. Though i have to complain i am becoming less and less of a fan of OPI. I just don't like the quality of the colors anymore... i mean they have some really great ones, but they are few and far between. And the colors in the bottles can be very deceiving to what actually shows up on your nails. Now I have to say that these minis were extremely hard to work with. The application brush is sooo freaking tiny... Essie minis aren't as small. Another reason i like Essie better than OPI.

Fiercely Fiona - now for some reason i have been dying to paint my nails yellow. I have always hated yellow nail polish, but for some reason now i have the urge to wear bright colors. This wasn't exactly the yellow i was going for, but it is kinda interesting. I dunno how to describe this yellow lol...it's not banana, not sunshine, my guess would be lemongrass. It has a very slight green tinge. Who the Shrek Are You? - a fun grassy green. What's with the Cattitude? - a sky blue. And Rumple's Wiggin - a cool lavender. What i would have loved and I'm sure I'm not alone, but my fav character in Shrek is the Gingerbread Man, so it would have been awesome if they made a gingerbread colored nail polish. yes!

London Calling

I've found my new fav fragrance, i dunno how this is going to be ...lol it changes every week!! Ok, this week (FOTW) my love is Burberry London for women, i like the men's too but women's for me. I never liked it before, but now i guess scent like taste change over time. I think this might be the fragrance I've been in search for. Its sexy and sophisticated, it doesn't turn powdery or stale over time as it wears off. I just love it. Components: Clemintine, honeysuckle, English garden rose, Tiare flower, jasmine, peony, veil of musks, Indian sandalwood, and patchouli. Its kind of a soft spicy floral, a lot of different compontents, but it makes a complex multi-layered scent... "Celebrating the city of London and its distinct style, Burberry London was created for an elegant and naturally glamorous woman, and for a man that defines the modern English gentleman."

FOTD + Product Review

My fotd is inspired my pixi2woo's Scarlett Johannsen look for the Moet ad, and also my recent purchases. Ok so foundation i think was Chanel Vita-Lumiere. I like this foundation because i have dry-combo skin and it is moisturizing (pro). It would really be an ideal winter foundation. (con) - Since its warming up i tend to glisten easily and the added sparkle in the foundation makes my faces look like an oily mess:( I do prefer Vita over Pro Lumiere 100%. The coverage for Pro is way too heavy for me while Vita is just right- light to med. Eyeshadow - From the Michael Kors Blonde Mink palette i used the gold color for the inner 2/3 of my eye and for the crease i used Urban Decay Twice Baked. Conclusion: I will never buy Estee Lauder eye shadow again. It was horrible quality, gritty like dirt. I was soo disappointed, the gold color is pretty but im going to have to find a dupe because it was just a pain to work with, and for the brown color i didn't even bother using with this look. I did try it out and it was even grittier than the gold. I think Maybelline eyeshadows are softer yuck. Anyways... on my lips are Lady Gaga lipstick and English Accent lipglass. Love them both:) In my recent trek to find my perfect foundation i journeyed once again to Sephora to once again be matched to a Nars Sheer Glow tint. (I do recommend you get help with these because the color scale is difficult to read) Thank god someone could finally do it right and i was matched with Fiji YAY!!!!!! ( I exclaimed) lol, I've been wearing it the past couple of days and Ive gotten soo many compliments. It really makes my face glow:) But I am going to try MUFE HD foundation again in 120, and see if I'm swayed... I like to be thorough in my decisions. OHH Sephora has a new makeup brush line and i want a bunch!! Some are really nice and unique, worth the high price (which surpass Mac prices).

Mac, Estee, and Borders Haul:)

Yay!!! Haul time!! And what a wonderful haul it is. Its all thanks to Zoella and Pixi2woo for motivating me to make these purchases. First off the Gaga lipstick: i wasn't crazy about this lipstick, but because everyone else was so excited about it and it seemed to be sold out everywhere in the world except Jacksonville, FL i gave it another go. I was pleasantly surprised it looked cute on me so i got it, its like a more wearable Snob. Cindi lipstick was nice, but it didn't do anything for me. Next is the Liberty of London: I thought this collection was absolutely freaking adorable, but it took me a while to figure out what i wanted. Zoella finally posted a blog about it and i was sold on the glosses: Perennial High Style (Coral) & English Accents (Lilac). I was very excited when Perennial turned out to be the perfect topper to Jubilee l/s. English Accents is amazing on a pink l/s or by itself.
I like most people am not a fan of beauty powders especially Mac, because they break me out, so i didn't get any. I would get more use out of blushes, so i want to start to collect l/e blush cases. To that effect i got Prim & Proper. It wasn't a hard decision because Dirty Plum was awful on me. Prim & Proper is actually a really nice warm nudey pink. I have nothing like it at the moment and I'm really glad i got it! Michael Kors for Estee Lauder: Ok so I've been seeing this collection pop up in pixiwoo & pixi2woo videos and i had to check it out. Its mostly sold out everywhere even here in Jville, i got lucky with this eyeshadow: Blond Mink. Pixi2woo uses this palette in her Scarlett Johansen Moet Ad video. Looking to get the other palette in the near future:) I tried the gloss Honey Blonde and was not impressed. It was very sheer and the taste yuck. Nars Striptease is loads better. Next The Lightning Thief: I've been looking to read this book for a while now plus pixi2woo said she was reading it and that really spurred me to go get it. Geez, do ya think i like Tanya much? Swatches and looks yet to come...

Twilightly

Ok, I am a fan of the Twilight movies, not of the books, just the movies. Mainly because i find Robert Pattinson dreamy as hell and i thought that since he did The Goblet of Fire. Kristen Stewart i also find interesting and i always love the way her stylist does her up. Another of my interests are beautiful magazine covers. And when the two combine - magic. In preparation for the US June release date of Eclipse, Stewart is gracing the cover of ELLE magazine and i believe ELLE UK. I'm excited for both to be released since not much information can be found online yet. Her makeup like usual looks amazing and i cant wait to mimic it:)

A Classique Twist

Hi everyone!! So I'm really excited to announce i found a new fragrance that i loooove. This is exciting for me because I am really picky. My very first perfume was Coco Mademoiselle and that went on for years.. I never did shop around because when i didn't i was always disappointed. Then i smelt Viva La Juicy. That was more of what i was looking for a sweet fruity sent that was sexy and flirty. So i wore that for a while, but as most people are aware Viva doesn't last but an hour and it gone. I played with the other Juicys....ehh they were ok, but i wanted something better. And Flowerbomb hit me. It is an amazing fragrance and an adorable bottle and one thing came to mind: I have to have this. But this isn't the one i picked. I work in the fragrance department now at a store so i smell dozens of scents a day and i thought i didn't like the JPGaultier's Classique Perfumes (there are 4 different versions) I thought they were tacky and weird with the women shape bottles and all and funny scents. But i sprayed the Classique toilette for a customer and i was in shock. My jaw dropped and i could smell the sweet sugary bold sexiness of the toilette, and the excitement began. I found the brouchure and researched the components: the Parfum - Vanilla base, Orchid mid, Rose top - for a bewitching sophisticated sexy woman ( my cup of tea!!). the Toilette - Vanilla base, Orange Blossom mid, Rose top - for a bolder attention getting sexy woman. And the newest Classique "X" i dont really like, its supposed to be the fresher version. I love the bottles and i need one on my dresser asap!
