2 coatsComparing the 3 vampy wine shades that i have. My newest purchase La Moss I am quite disappointed with. It goes on quite streaky and uneven, you need at least 3 coats and it still looks jarred, even with a careful hand. The only good thing about it is that after 3 coats its a good dupe for Chanel Rouge Noir, which was the premise of why i purchased it in the first place. Its more on the purpley side. But Rouge Noir is still so much deeper and richer a color, and goes on much more agreeably and looks very chic. Brunette on the Internet is a nice alternative, its a shade lighter, but the formula is a lot better than La Moss. And it has a more pronounced wine color. Think of Brunette on the Internet as a light Pinot Noir, and Rouge Noir as a deep Merlot.
