Zoya- Gemma, Pippa, and Marley:)

Went to Ulta to finally get my hands on Zoya Pippa, a very bright Cadbury yellow that every time i saw TheCurrentCustom wear I craved it. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was 50% off along with some other colors, so i also picked up Marley (a soft pastel lavender, with a blue pearl vein) and Gemma (a murky dusty jade green, with a blue pearl vein as well) This is my first Zoya purchase and it did not disappoint, i forsee further purchases in the future.

Bobbing for Baubles - Essie New Years NOTD

My go at a New Years festive nail. I really would have loved to to OPI Rainbow Connection, but i dont have it yet:( Settled for a dark blue gray with silver glitter fade on top, which was OPI Spark de Triomphe.

Happy Haulidays #2 :))

Had the day off to fix up my blog. I had to upload a ton of pics taken by iphone since i cant find my memory card for my camera. Instagram is a little hobby of mine, it makes my pics a little prettier. Haulage: Hello Kitty jammies, socks, mug, Juicy Couture earrings, Guerlain eye primer, Chanel June nail polish, Essie Size Matters, OPI Designer....de Better, Essie Bobbing for Baubles, Chanel Allure Laquer Dragon, Philosophy Old Fashioned Eggnog (smells amazing), Philosophy Sugar Sprinkles Funnel Cake, Body Shop Mango Butter. Fixed up my toes with Chanel Rouge Carat, i like it much better there than on my fingers. Didn't do much for me.

Drugstore Diving: Revlon's Sunshine Sparkle

A very cute pale yellow, has chunky bits of glitter. Dries faster than the Sally Hansen which i appreciate, but still needs three coats. Wearing my Estee Lauder power ring lol, a gift from my business manager.

Drugstore Diving: Sally Hansen Barracuda

After seeing this eye catching color making the rounds on youtube, i was intrigued. It was cute, and resembled a hard to find Chanel color in Riva I've been itching to get my hands on, but to no avail. Every CVS and Target i went in was sold out so i had to look to Ebay of course. I looked on the web and saw a lot of comparisons of the two, but i still doubt its a decent dupe. Its a bright chlorine blue, powder blue with a hint of aqua. Its a streaky two coater so i recommend three, but it changes color with each application it becomes more intense, and less powdery blue. It also takes a while to dry which tries my patience, as i like to be up and about and not have to worry about nicking it.

Gold Lame NOTD & Acquisitions

Clarins Radiance Powder, I wasn't really a fan of Clarins powders too chalky, but this makes your skin gleam and has subtle shimmer. I love the fact that it looks like a girly Tetris game, especially if your bf is a gamer it means that much more to you lol. Its a great finishing powder to any foundation ive used it with, it is translucent, but not white it is kind of cool pinky. The packaging is nice and slender for easy portability.

Chanel Diabolic, I was debating this for days, it looked exactly like Rouge Noir in the bottle. But i studied pictures on the nail application, and Diabolic did turn out a deeper brown burgundy and less red as Rouge Noir, and it was the case after i applied it to myself. It is a great Vampy color to have, great consistency too, love it!

Balenciaga, I've been wanting a small bottle of this for ages, it got good reviews and i tried it before but was unsure. When you first smell it it is an overwhelming wave of violets, but once it settles it is a very classy grown up woman fragrance. Not sweet, a little dry, but not too dry. A nice winter fragrance.

La Moss/Brunette on the Internet/Rouge Noir

1 coat
1 coat
2 coats
2 coats

Comparing the 3 vampy wine shades that i have. My newest purchase La Moss I am quite disappointed with. It goes on quite streaky and uneven, you need at least 3 coats and it still looks jarred, even with a careful hand. The only good thing about it is that after 3 coats its a good dupe for Chanel Rouge Noir, which was the premise of why i purchased it in the first place. Its more on the purpley side. But Rouge Noir is still so much deeper and richer a color, and goes on much more agreeably and looks very chic. Brunette on the Internet is a nice alternative, its a shade lighter, but the formula is a lot better than La Moss. And it has a more pronounced wine color. Think of Brunette on the Internet as a light Pinot Noir, and Rouge Noir as a deep Merlot.

*Chanel Jasmine NOTD*

An oldy, tracked down on ebay. Its a soft matte pinky nude, lighter than Inattendu, close to Jade Rose but peachier and more opaque. It looks very clean and polished on the nails. I got a little excited and threw on some Servin' Up Sparkle on my ring fingers, there was no need. I'm getting a little obsessed with hard to find Chanel polishes, I get so excited when i track one down at a store or on ebay for a reasonable price. When its a good formula, Chanel polish looks amazing. But maybe its just me, lol. You cant beat finding one at a store, I just found Diabolic at a counter retail price $25, it goes on ebay for no less then $50:D

Henley Regatta, La Moss, and The Old Bill

Wanting to take advantage of the Butter sale at Ulta the other day I grabbed the rest on my wish list. But now i think i should get Chancer:(( Ulta unfortunately only carries the minimal line, and their stock is very ify.

I grabbed The Old Bill, cause the name is great, and Laura wrote a blog post about how much she loved it. I think its ok, its a little boring for my skin tone, but i would top it off with Servin' Up Sparkle on all the fingers. In the pic i just have in on my ring finger. It makes it much more interesting, and satiates my sparkle craving.

To add to my vamp nail polish collection i got La Moss. In the bottle it looks very similar to Chanel's Rouge Noir, but i swatched it a little and it is definitely a lot thinner and brighter pink than the thick Rouge Noir. But i still have to compare them with two coats.

Henley Regatta, I absolutely love this color. I got it for the Jacksonville Jaguars which is our city football team, its a pretty similar teal and very eye catching:D

*Servin' Up Sparkle* - The Sparklicious NOTD

I've been craving a sparklicious silver glitter. To place over a pretty nude. And i think i've found it, Serena Williams Servin' Up Sparkle, by OPI. Its opaque in two coats easy, and it has little baby specks, as well as bigger silver dots:D Today i wore it over OPI Coney Island Cotton Candy, not my fav nude (its too sheer and finicky), but i'm in the process of getting Chanel Jasmine and Inattendu, more reliable glorious staples that will always look fantastic. The combo reminds me of the risque Britney Spears nude ensemble the she performed in years ago, with the rhinestones all over it.... yes that's what i was going for Britney Spears lol. Also had to pick up a new top coat my Seche Vite hath runneth out. I went back to my fav OPI Rapid Dry, i think it goes on a lot cleaner then Seche. And also to quench my dry cuticles, my biggest pet peeve, i picked up Dior's Creme Abricot nail cream. I know its a splurge, but it works instantly, and works best when you put it on before bed. Its very thick and ooey-gooey, and has a apricot scent. A little goes a long ways.

August...

For my birthday i wanted a few things, and i got most of them, but one remains elusive to me The Nars Bright Lights, Big City palette. I had to get Nars nail polish in Matto Grasso, a deep murky brown. It is as people described, very gloopy and i found it to chip very easily. And the color was alright, nothing to write home about. Butter London HRH, very bright violet, i thought it would be good for summer and i saw Emma Watson wearing it on the cover of US Seventeen mag. I found it almost too bright, i would just keep it to my toes. Next h2h Chanel glossimer in Pensee, i loved the formula of the glosses from the summer collection very smooth, glittery but not gritty, and dimensional. I lucked out on the Lancome artliner in Scorched, they were sold out originally and had gotten some more in, and i snatched it up. Its a waterproof liquid liner in deep murky brown, with gold flecks, gorgeous, but it does tend to be streaky. Nars bright red lipstick in Heat Wave, i've been wanting for a while, but just got around to getting it, its a bright fire matte orangey-red. Definitely not as casual a look as i might have hoped, i still opt for Estee Lauder Spanish Red. I also got from Estee lauders' new collection Metallic Sage nail polish, i thought i really liked it, and i think if you have a pink undertone this polish would look better. it wasnt deep enough for my liking, but it does have that fantastic copper shimmer running through it. The joy of my collection would have to be Joyeuse Rouge Allure lipstick from Chanel, Joyeuse meaning happiness, and it is my happiniess. A soft cool-toned bubblegum pink, similar to Mac's Saint Germain, or Lady Gaga, but much more wearable.

Purchases of Late:D - Nars, Chanel, YSL

Finally!!! i've been waiting for 2 weeks to get my Dogon duo yay!!! and my YSL teint resist #4. Im straying away from neutrals, im finding them kind of boring. but yet im still afraid of too much color and i've been thinking Dogon would fit that median. it comes with one color that is a duo chrome the light taupey olivey color, with a pearly cool sheen. The other color, i thought was a smokey black color, its actually an intense navy with a cool blue sheen, but is more on the matte side. I would have loved to pair it with a smoky black to be more neutral. Also i've come to find out that the best primer to use with this is the Nars eyeshadow primer, it is devine, the best primer i've ever used. it doesn't crease and it really grabs hold of color. i wish it came in other colors besides clear:(
Then my new prized possession Teint Resist ohhh baby, im so excited. This makes any matte foundation look shameful. First note- it smells glorious like bananas. its very siliconey so it goes on soo smooth and easy, and it looks flawless. Airbrush finish seriously. and it lasts just as long as Estee Lauder Double Wear, but it doesn't break up, it stays looking flawless and natural all day:)
Once i saw the new fall collection from Chanel, i had to try out the nail polishes. And to my surprise i didn't like Quartz, and bought up Graphite and Peridot, my birthstone. And i just love the Peridot, it reminds me of like Halloween and witches' potion:)

Spring has Sprung - Top Nail Picks for Spring

Here are some of my fav nail polishes for spring. Now i would have a nude color, but i do not own one that i like yet, but i do have an honorable mention and i think one that i would have up here if i had it. And that would be Chanel's Inattendu, which is a warm opaque nude. Another one i would mention would be a pale yellow, but i dont have one yet either. Also i didn't put any peaches. Those i have, but they dont look got on me at all. I think because i have a yellow undertone in my skin as opposed to fair people with pink undertones.
Essie Geranium - a bright vintage red orange, the consistency is kind of a translucent jelly, so its not opaque, but two coats is fine. You would think i would want this in my summer collection, and you could, but i think its more effective in the spring for the whole nautical vintage trend.
OPI Sparrow Me the Drama - My classic dusky rose color for the vintage girly trend, love it.
Essie Guchi Muchi Puchi - My pastel Easter egg pink fav, love it.
Sephora by OPI Dear Diary - subdued ballerina pale pink, not really a must have for me, but since i dont have a nude it makes my picks look more complete.
OPI Stranger Tides - Murky avocado green, love it.
OPI Mermaids Tears - Dusky sea foam green, love it.
Essie Mint Candy Apple - a popular eye-catching mint green.
OPI I Want to be A-Lone Star - A silver pale blue, love it.
Essie Lilacism - had to throw in a purple. My fav cool toned lilac color, love it.

Small Purchase & NOTD - Nars, Havana Dreams

After watching Pixi2woo's brights trend tutorial, i had to check out this Nars duo Mediteranee. I'm surprised its never caught my eye before, i think its part of the permanent line. I've been looking for an orange eyeshadow for a while, and this one was perfect. This duo is amazing, great color combination and awesome color intensity, i almost have to blend it down so its not too bright. I am in love with Nars eyeshadows now, they hardly disappoint like Mac can tend to do. Next duo on my list in Dogon:) My other purchase was Havana Dreams, Sephora by OPI. I was a bit reluctant to purchase this when it first came out, because i new the formula was thin and would need 3 coats, and i was right. But what made me go for it was I had missed out on getting Chanel Riva:( i was was looking for the best dupe and this was it. After three coats the coverage is fine.

This color is soo cute.

OPI Pirates of the Carribbean - On Stranger Tides

YAY!!!!! Finally its out!!! I've been waiting for months lol. I really want to buy the whole collection, but i thought maybe i'll do it in spurts. When i went to get a good look at the collection i still wanted all of it, but for right now i left out the pinks - Sparrow Me the Drama and Steady As She Rose. I had to get Mermaid's Tears, Stranger Tides, Silver Shatter, and Skull and Glossbones. Undecided on whether to go with the purple or the pink, i got the purple Planks A Lot, which is the stupidest name in the collection. Now i want the pink one Sparrow me the Drama:( The Silver Shatter is amazing, much better than the tacky Black Shatter, i hated the whole Katy Perry collection awlful. For best results, when applying the shatter apply it diagonally over the nail, putting it on the regular way is very boring and doesn't crack as well. Then apply a clear topcoat and it makes it more sparkley:)
i dont think the theme of the collection is too be piratey. The theme of the movie is geared toward the pirates being in new fantastical waters endowed with fantastical creatures like MERMAIDS. hence the caption STRANGER TIDES. I think the colors are supposed to reflect on these silvery scaled sirens. the colors arent pure or bright, they have a duskiness to them that probably characterize the mermaids themselves, murky and mysterious, and possibly troublesome. and yet the silver scales lure you in.

Cherries in the Snow:)

i've been looking for a perfect hot fuchsia, i dunno what inspired me, but i've been on the hunt for hot pink lips. I tried Chanel, and I've tried Dior, but they were just too sheer, i wanted something loud and opaque. Then i remembered, hidden away in a little drawer, i had Revlon's Cherries in the Snow. It same out really pink in the picture i dont know why, but its more purple toned. And it stays on great without over drying and its true to color, which is something to say for Revlon. I've tried their reds and they're crap. I would try mac, but mac lippies dry out my lips and make them peel.
NOTD: Suzi Says Feng-Shui, i thought i wouldn't like this color. I grabbed it for $.99 at JCPennys. But thank you Snowdrop85 for inspiring me to venture on to trying this color, it was just what i needed.... lately if been wearing light pinks and grays and i was wanting something more vibrant. Surprisingly pleased:)

*Snow Princess*:D

Ebay is my best friend, and yet my worst enemy. Perusing along, the words Snow Princess caught my eye. The description holds for me fond memories of when i was little and was in the Nutcracker ballet for a few Christmases. The words together of Snow Princess form a magical correlation that sends my mind into fantasy land, and if there is a Snow Princess this is the nail polish that would imbibe her. Its silly really, but i do think that makeup and fantasy go hand in hand. With makeup you're altering the appearance of something, and providing an illusion that distorts reality. Anyways... i cant wait to try all the colors, i love essie mini sets. The winter collection should be next on my list:)
From left to right: Pink Glove Service, Guchi Muchi Puchi, Ballet Slippers, & Blanc.

NOTD: Chanel Coromandel, love it. When i make a top 10 this makes the list.

Good Night!

LOVE this color!!! Chanel Rouge Noir, sorry about the blurry pic, my camera sucks. Too bad Chanel nail colors chip so easily, i have a base coat and top coat and it chipped within the day:( I was checking around for a nail polish to compare it too and i think the closest is OPI's Suzi Says Da!, from the Russian Collection.
