Happy Haulidays #2 :))

Had the day off to fix up my blog. I had to upload a ton of pics taken by iphone since i cant find my memory card for my camera. Instagram is a little hobby of mine, it makes my pics a little prettier. Haulage: Hello Kitty jammies, socks, mug, Juicy Couture earrings, Guerlain eye primer, Chanel June nail polish, Essie Size Matters, OPI Designer....de Better, Essie Bobbing for Baubles, Chanel Allure Laquer Dragon, Philosophy Old Fashioned Eggnog (smells amazing), Philosophy Sugar Sprinkles Funnel Cake, Body Shop Mango Butter. Fixed up my toes with Chanel Rouge Carat, i like it much better there than on my fingers. Didn't do much for me.

**October Favs:)**

Its November already!!! omg! Ok my favorites this month were... Balenciaga Perfume, Clarins Radiance Powder, Chanel Blush in Enchanteresse, Lancome Quad in Enchanted Evening, Chanel Polish in Peridot and Diabolic, and OPI Funky Donkey. Non-beauty related items: favorite movie discovery this month Blue Valentine. Songs: You And Me - Penny and the Quarters, Without You Usher, My Heart's a Stereo - Adam Levine, I'm On Fire - Town Mountain. Books: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

Gold Lame NOTD & Acquisitions

Clarins Radiance Powder, I wasn't really a fan of Clarins powders too chalky, but this makes your skin gleam and has subtle shimmer. I love the fact that it looks like a girly Tetris game, especially if your bf is a gamer it means that much more to you lol. Its a great finishing powder to any foundation ive used it with, it is translucent, but not white it is kind of cool pinky. The packaging is nice and slender for easy portability.

Chanel Diabolic, I was debating this for days, it looked exactly like Rouge Noir in the bottle. But i studied pictures on the nail application, and Diabolic did turn out a deeper brown burgundy and less red as Rouge Noir, and it was the case after i applied it to myself. It is a great Vampy color to have, great consistency too, love it!

Balenciaga, I've been wanting a small bottle of this for ages, it got good reviews and i tried it before but was unsure. When you first smell it it is an overwhelming wave of violets, but once it settles it is a very classy grown up woman fragrance. Not sweet, a little dry, but not too dry. A nice winter fragrance.

La Moss/Brunette on the Internet/Rouge Noir

1 coat
1 coat
2 coats
2 coats

Comparing the 3 vampy wine shades that i have. My newest purchase La Moss I am quite disappointed with. It goes on quite streaky and uneven, you need at least 3 coats and it still looks jarred, even with a careful hand. The only good thing about it is that after 3 coats its a good dupe for Chanel Rouge Noir, which was the premise of why i purchased it in the first place. Its more on the purpley side. But Rouge Noir is still so much deeper and richer a color, and goes on much more agreeably and looks very chic. Brunette on the Internet is a nice alternative, its a shade lighter, but the formula is a lot better than La Moss. And it has a more pronounced wine color. Think of Brunette on the Internet as a light Pinot Noir, and Rouge Noir as a deep Merlot.

*Chanel Jasmine NOTD*

An oldy, tracked down on ebay. Its a soft matte pinky nude, lighter than Inattendu, close to Jade Rose but peachier and more opaque. It looks very clean and polished on the nails. I got a little excited and threw on some Servin' Up Sparkle on my ring fingers, there was no need. I'm getting a little obsessed with hard to find Chanel polishes, I get so excited when i track one down at a store or on ebay for a reasonable price. When its a good formula, Chanel polish looks amazing. But maybe its just me, lol. You cant beat finding one at a store, I just found Diabolic at a counter retail price $25, it goes on ebay for no less then $50:D

August...

For my birthday i wanted a few things, and i got most of them, but one remains elusive to me The Nars Bright Lights, Big City palette. I had to get Nars nail polish in Matto Grasso, a deep murky brown. It is as people described, very gloopy and i found it to chip very easily. And the color was alright, nothing to write home about. Butter London HRH, very bright violet, i thought it would be good for summer and i saw Emma Watson wearing it on the cover of US Seventeen mag. I found it almost too bright, i would just keep it to my toes. Next h2h Chanel glossimer in Pensee, i loved the formula of the glosses from the summer collection very smooth, glittery but not gritty, and dimensional. I lucked out on the Lancome artliner in Scorched, they were sold out originally and had gotten some more in, and i snatched it up. Its a waterproof liquid liner in deep murky brown, with gold flecks, gorgeous, but it does tend to be streaky. Nars bright red lipstick in Heat Wave, i've been wanting for a while, but just got around to getting it, its a bright fire matte orangey-red. Definitely not as casual a look as i might have hoped, i still opt for Estee Lauder Spanish Red. I also got from Estee lauders' new collection Metallic Sage nail polish, i thought i really liked it, and i think if you have a pink undertone this polish would look better. it wasnt deep enough for my liking, but it does have that fantastic copper shimmer running through it. The joy of my collection would have to be Joyeuse Rouge Allure lipstick from Chanel, Joyeuse meaning happiness, and it is my happiniess. A soft cool-toned bubblegum pink, similar to Mac's Saint Germain, or Lady Gaga, but much more wearable.

Purchases of Late:D - Nars, Chanel, YSL

Finally!!! i've been waiting for 2 weeks to get my Dogon duo yay!!! and my YSL teint resist #4. Im straying away from neutrals, im finding them kind of boring. but yet im still afraid of too much color and i've been thinking Dogon would fit that median. it comes with one color that is a duo chrome the light taupey olivey color, with a pearly cool sheen. The other color, i thought was a smokey black color, its actually an intense navy with a cool blue sheen, but is more on the matte side. I would have loved to pair it with a smoky black to be more neutral. Also i've come to find out that the best primer to use with this is the Nars eyeshadow primer, it is devine, the best primer i've ever used. it doesn't crease and it really grabs hold of color. i wish it came in other colors besides clear:(
Then my new prized possession Teint Resist ohhh baby, im so excited. This makes any matte foundation look shameful. First note- it smells glorious like bananas. its very siliconey so it goes on soo smooth and easy, and it looks flawless. Airbrush finish seriously. and it lasts just as long as Estee Lauder Double Wear, but it doesn't break up, it stays looking flawless and natural all day:)
Once i saw the new fall collection from Chanel, i had to try out the nail polishes. And to my surprise i didn't like Quartz, and bought up Graphite and Peridot, my birthstone. And i just love the Peridot, it reminds me of like Halloween and witches' potion:)

Chanel Rouge Cocos: Paris, Sari Dore, and Gardenia

I love these lipsticks, great formula that stays well and doesn't dry out my lips. Paris is a very cool tone red with a hot pink flare. I love to pair this with a very simple neutral eye. The other 2 are from the Summer collection Les Fleurs d'Ete and are limited edition. Gardenia is a warm golden pink and is gorgeous. Sari Dore is a repromote from the Cote D'Azure collection which was only available online or in boutiques. Its a very wearable soft orange. its also available in the Shine line, but I'm not a fan of those they have no staying power at all. These Summer lippies are much better then the ones put out the in Christmas and Spring collections and are definitely worth investigating:)

Employee Discount Haul!!!

(below: L to R-Pink Peony, Rose Platine, Khol Me Brown)
Ok, so like 3 times a year for 3 days each, we get a 40% discount off cosmetics at my place of work. So between these times ensues lots of planning and impatiently waiting. mostly because they never let us know when it will be, they only give us a weeks notice which really sucks. So this time i got to save up a little and get somethings I've been eyeing for a while. I am slowly collecting the entire Chanel Summer collection : Les Fleurs d'ete.
Shiseido Pureness Cleansing Foam
(This cleansing foam feels fluffy and luxurious. it washes my makeup off and cleanses my face and feels comfortable. i dont like that tight feeling.)
Guerlain e/l in Khol Me Brown
(love this gorgeous coffee brown with gold sparkles)
Dior Mascara Ecstase
Dior 5 Palette in Beige Massai
(love this, Dior has the best e/s I've ever used. i got this bc Lisa Eldridge said it was one of her favs, and the colors are very much what i wear. love this packaging as well, nice and sturdy with a little weight to it.)
Chanel Bronzer in Bronze Corail
(had to get this one bc the Bronze Rose was too light for me and the pinkness didnt look right with my yellow undertone. i also didnt find it as buildable as the coral. These bronzers are very soft and subtle, easily blendable.)
Chanel l/g in Pink Peony
Chanel e/l in Rose Platine
(love this, though be careful, it doesnt show up very well on some people.)
Chanel Blush in Pink Tweed
(my version of MAC's Well-Dressed, which doesn't show up on me, but this does. a subtle cool pink shimmer)

Happy Haulidays!!!:D

My Christmas goodies consist mostly of Chanel, its becoming quite an obsession. I got the Holiday quad which i find pretty difficult to work with and the colors not very complimenting for my yellow undertone and dark hair. The majority of the colors have a pinkiness to them and its pretty annoying. Next i got the Tweed Fuchsia, which is absolutely a must-have, its breath taking. I thought it would be too bright on me, but its not. And its buildable. It also doubles as a highlighter and photographs beautifully. The next two items are from the Chanel summer collection and are limited edition. I hunted around and found them at some stores lol! Bondi Lipstick, and Nouvelle Vague Nail Polish yay!!! Im soo glad i didn't have to order them off ebay!! Next i wanted a matte bronzer and i've finally fell in love with Hoola. During the summer its too light, and i like a little shimmer. But right now its perfect. Got Flowerbomb, a lil baby w a large refill, just because i can be a little fickle with fragrance. A T3 curling iron which i am loving, its helping tame my wild mane which is a work in progress. And lastly found at a CCO, Frankly Fresh from the Mac Liberty of London collection. I really LOVE the consistency of the other two i have which are English Accents and Perennial High Style. They are really creamy with no sparkle. This one is creamy, but it has a shimmer to it so its a bit stickier and dryer consistency, but i still love the warm nudey color.

*Snow Princess*:D

Ebay is my best friend, and yet my worst enemy. Perusing along, the words Snow Princess caught my eye. The description holds for me fond memories of when i was little and was in the Nutcracker ballet for a few Christmases. The words together of Snow Princess form a magical correlation that sends my mind into fantasy land, and if there is a Snow Princess this is the nail polish that would imbibe her. Its silly really, but i do think that makeup and fantasy go hand in hand. With makeup you're altering the appearance of something, and providing an illusion that distorts reality. Anyways... i cant wait to try all the colors, i love essie mini sets. The winter collection should be next on my list:)
From left to right: Pink Glove Service, Guchi Muchi Puchi, Ballet Slippers, & Blanc.

NOTD: Chanel Coromandel, love it. When i make a top 10 this makes the list.

Chanel - Rouge Noir nail polish
Essie - Mink Muffs
OPI - Catch Me in Your Net
Origins - Clear Improvement
Mac - Relax

Good Night!

LOVE this color!!! Chanel Rouge Noir, sorry about the blurry pic, my camera sucks. Too bad Chanel nail colors chip so easily, i have a base coat and top coat and it chipped within the day:( I was checking around for a nail polish to compare it too and i think the closest is OPI's Suzi Says Da!, from the Russian Collection.

A Bit of a Haul:)

Yes!!!! i got it, the Chanel Christmas nail gift set. A bit of a splurge, but i had a discount and this item is extremely rare!! My store only got two! In it contains three discontinued colors none of which are sold separately anymore. Gold Lame, the infamous gold color Lorraine Stanick goes on about. Coromandel, the vintage red, just got removed from the counters. I tried that one on and thats what made me have to have this set, its a gorgeous, sexy, vintage red... I can compare it to OPI Off With Her Red, from the Alice in Wonderland collection. And lastly Rouge Noir, available in the Rouge Coco lipstick collection. But i was told this color was never released in the States only in Europe. Its a deep garnet color. Compareable to mmm not really sure:{
Next i was recommended the Clinique Acne line to try for my troubled face, not sure how i like it yet. Picked up some foundation finally to start my collection, Mat Lumiere, its not my fav but its pretty good, i like Vita Lumiere very much but with my face being oily i wasn't sure if its a good buy. And lastly while rummaging through my CCO i picked up Relaxed shadestick from the warm and cozy collection. I just got it because i didn't have one and i thought i give it a try. Now i've been using it everyday. I love it:) Its a great base for brown eyeshadows, it makes them look so much better than the Painterly paintpot ive been using (and do not combine the two, use one or the other). I would definitely recommend this item to anyone. The color of it is pretty much like a cream version of Tempting eyeshadow.
